Life is a Beach

We are only the grain of sand on a beach that the trial of waves beat down upon. Looking at the small system of things in our world, a beach is exactly what life feels like. Some days it is calm with gentle waves and other times the waves are wild with life pounding upon the shoreline, big enough for us to surf. There are the times the shoreline is under water, as the tide comes in, leaving little room upon the shore for man to observe.

Storms come in upsetting the natural cycle of things, making it too hard to comfortably enjoy.  There are beaches that are considered wild having no monitoring by man; where the small geological system is in full control. Wild beaches are a resemblance of the natural beauty of things in our world that our Father created upon this land form.

It is when man beats down upon these beautiful beaches that the natural beauty of this small system begins to fade. Man often loses control of the system of things that God brings before us tearing apart the focus he places in our life.

So when guiding people in my life, I often have to remind myself of the beach we live on.  I try to imagine God’s view of us in all the struggles we have in life. In my mind's eye, we are just a simple grain of sand that is so small when compared to the rest of the shoreline and ocean beyond.

We are just a grain of sand in this world that has many and we are never alone.  He says with his wisdom that heaven is just a mustard seed that we took and planted in a field.  (Matthew 13;31)  My mustard seed is the beach and all that it stands for in my life.  It is my heaven…a mustard seed as Matthew advised us.

Let not the trials in life alter your walk with our Father.  Let not the storms that come upon the shore alter the focus we should have.  God tells us in his wisdom that he is in control of all things no matter how hard the trial. It is even during the simple trials, that we often fail to acknowledge, that makes the bigger trials easier to bear.

Take heed to all that happens in life and not just the many storms that come.  Have faith to know that your beach will restore to the natural order in which it is meant.  You being that grain of sand will always find its place among many.
